Weddings

We specialise in creating gorgeous cupcake towers, cake pops and cutting cakes for happy couples all over Manchester and Cheshire.

favour1We understand that your wedding cake choice is often (one of the) focal points of the day, they need to be visually stunning but equally important is the taste. We pride ourselves in providing both!
Before you decide on your booking or selections we invite you in to our Didsbury Cake Boutique to discuss your requirements over coffee and (of course) cake. We'll go through pictures for inspiration, then flavours, colours and designs to ensure you both get exactly what you're looking for. As well as cupcake towers we're also happy to provide cake pop cakes and cookies which can be doubled up as wedding favours.

Wedding Cake-spiration....

We were asked to create a tower of cupcakes for a lovely couple's wedding reception in Manchester City Centre. The happy couple opted for lilac and cream to fit with their colour scheme and chose Carrot cake and Vanilla for their guests.

The couple also opted for brown cases, their initials on the top cakes and flavour cards to completely personalise the order.

The cupcakes were placed on a 7 tier stand and the table scattered with flowers in matching colours and tea lights (provided by The Flower Lounge in Didsbury

Pastel green, silver and cream were the order for the day for a Didsbury wedding! The tower of cupcakes was created out of Apple and Cinnamon, in pale green buttercream, Lemon in the cream buttercream and a vanilla giant cupcake for their cutting cake. The couple opted for a mix of all three sizes of cupcake, to satisfy all appetites!

The matte silver colour was brought in through the cupcake cases and the edible butterflies in the giant cake, which were also spray-painted in silver. The bride provided the delightful flavour cards to help guests make their choice!

A Bury wedding reception saw us creating Raspberry Ripple, Lemon and Choc-cherry for a delightful venue.
The colours were kept simple with colours reflecting the flavours chosen i.e. pink for raspberry and pale yellow for lemon.

Flowers were scatted on the table and open-headed roses were placed among the cakes on the stand to 'set off' the cupcake tower. A shorter, wider cake stand was used to give a different effect and accommodate for a smaller number of guests.

The Great John Street Hotel roof terrace saw us provide a tower of simple but effective cupcakes. A tower was created with purely vanilla cupcakes and scattered with hand-cut sugarpaste hearts in red. The cupcake tower complimented the venue and fed a lot of hungry guests!

We regularly work with wedding planners to create spectacular displays, a huge venue with in excess of 300 guests for an Asian wedding saw us create over 400 mini cupcakes and a cutting cake in variations of pink and chocolate.

The mini cupcakes were decorated with flowers and butterflies in contrasting colours of sugarpaste. As you can see from the pictures, the cakes took centre stage next to the bride and groom throughout the event and were gobbled up pretty quickly afterwards!
